Assemblymember Anna M. Caballero Announces 2018 Young Legislators

The Young Legislators Program provides high school students in the 30th Assembly District the unique opportunity to learn first-hand about California government and the legislative process, and prepares local youth to become leaders in their communities.

“Last year, the Young Legislators Program was a success with over 40 participants. I am very happy to continue the program this year to provide our youth with real-world experience about the process of state and local government,” Assemblymember Caballero said. “I look forward to working with our future leaders.”

From June 18 to July 7, 2018, the program will consist of various workshops that will educate and empower students to identify and address issues in their community. By the end of the summer program, students will gain valuable communication and organizational skills along with leadership experience.

The program is open to high school students, at no cost, who are interested in learning about State and local government and who are motivated to make a positive difference in their community. Students must also either live in or attend a school in the 30th Assembly District.
