House Resolution 19: California Earned Income Tax Credit
(Sacramento) – Millions of dollars for hundreds of thousands of Californians. That’s what the California Earned Income Tax Credit program adds up to, says Assemblymember Anna Caballero (D-Salinas). She authored House Resolution 19 to spread the word about Cal-EITC. “In its first year, Cal-EITC boosted the income of nearly 400,000 Californians, providing nearly $200 million in refunds,” said Assemblymember Caballero. “In California alone, an estimated $2 billion of state and federal EITC has not been used. This significant resource can help the working poor bring economic security to their lives.” Here’s more about Cal-EITC in this Assembly Access video.
