(Sacramento) – Safe storage for prescription medications is the goal of legislation (Assembly Bill 2859) from Assemblymember Anna Caballero (D-Salinas). “Every day 3,000 teenagers abuse a prescription painkiller for the first time, and the majority of teens get these pills from a household medicine cabinet,” Assemblymember Caballero says. “This is because very few households nationwide lock up their medications, including addictive pills such as opioids.” To learn more about AB 2859 and safely storing prescription medication, watch this Assembly Access Video. http://www.asmdc.org/caballero
