Assemblymember Caballero Rallies for Expanding Childcare

Monday, June 4, 2018

(Sacramento)  - Assemblymember Anna Caballero (D-Salinas) took to the steps of the State Capitol to rally with childcare providers, parents and activists in support of Assembly Bill 2292, which expands access to infant and toddler care. The rally was also in support of the budget request for “$1-Billion Dollars for Babies”, one of the budget priorities of the California Legislative Women’s Caucus. “(The cost of) child care can break you. In many communities it’s more than the rent,” said Assemblymember Caballero. “And in other communities it’s almost as much as you would pay for the rent, the food and all of your utilities.” Watch this Assembly Access  video to see more from the rally.
