Young Legislators Program

The Young Legislators Program provides high school students the unique opportunity to learn first-hand about California government and the legislative process, and prepares local youth to become leaders in their communities.

The program takes place from mid-June to early July and consists of various workshops to educate and empower students to identify and address issues in their community. By the end of the summer program, students will gain valuable communication and organizational skills along with leadership experience.

The program is open to any high school student who lives or attends school in the 30th Assembly District and is interested in learning about state government. There is no cost to participate.
