Safe, Affordable, Inclusive Education

  • AB 560: Improving Special Education Programs in Schools
    The Special Education Caseload Act, developed in partnership with the California Federation of Teachers (CFT) and California Teachers Association (CTA) would improve education by formally recommending special education teacher caseload limits.

Health and Environment

  • AB 1288: Retain and Train Community Health Workers
    When natural and man-made disasters strike, it's vital to have the environmental data we need to make sure our communities are safe and healthy. AB 1288 will help ensure that our public health departments can employ the Registered Environmental Health Specialists they need to conduct important water, air and soil testing. These public health workers were vital for informing the public about risks after the Moss Landing battery fires and the LA wildfires.
  • AB 1487: Allocating Funding for the LGBTQIA Community
    The 2TGI Wellness and Equity Fund Act would expand the Fund and ensure the LGBTQ+ community has needed resources and support.

Transparency and Public Access

  • AB 808: Creating Public Access to Campaign Finance Data
    AB 808 Strengthens transparency and public trust in free and fair elections by making the Cal-Access Replacement System (CARS) platform more user friendly and accessible. The new, digital platform will ensure that the public has a more seamless experience accessing campaign finance reports for both candidates and elected officials.
  • AB 1076: Secures State Savings Programs for People with Disabilities
    The Qualified ABLE Program Act would make it easier for people with disabilities to save their money and create long-term stability.

Transportation

  • AB 761: Generating Revenue for Monterey-Salinas Transit
    Would allow the Monterey-Salinas Transit District (MST) to empower Monterey County voters to make decisions about their transportation funding.

Local Businesses

  • AB 1008: Increasing Alcohol Licenses for Central Coast Businesses
    Developed in partnership with San Luis Obispo County, would allow restaurants in San Luis Obispo County to expand their offerings so that more businesses can thrive.
