As the federal government terrorizes communities with illegal raids across the nation, California is taking proactive steps to protect our communities. I'm proud to announce that I secured $1.5 million for Catholic Charities' immigrant legal services on the Central Coast. Immigrants keep our communities and economy strong by building businesses, contributing to our workforce, and helping our region thrive. This funding strengthens our commitment to defend Californians, safeguard families, and ensure that every Central Coast resident receives full and fair representation.

Founded in 2009, the SLO Noor Foundation provides free, high-quality, non-emergent health care to uninsured, low-income, and unhoused adults across San Luis Obispo County.

At a time when too many in our communities are struggling to access essential care, SLO Noor is stepping up to fill a critical gap by providing free, quality medical, dental, and vision services to our uninsured neighbors. Now more than ever, it is vital that we celebrate and empower our nonprofits, who work tirelessly to uplift the most vulnerable and ensure that no one is left behind.

The SLO Noor Foundation, headquartered in San Luis Obispo operates as a volunteer-based organization focused on providing free primary medical, dental, vision, specialty, and mental health care; laboratory and radiology diagnostics; prescription assistance; and community referrals in San Luis Obispo County and northern Santa Barbara County.
